REPORTING AMERICA

Alistar Cooke was a master in reporting. He managed to describe the scene so well, I thought I was there! I tried to listen to his programme “Letter from America” as often as I could, so when I got this book, which covers so many years of his reporting, I was delighted.

This is not a book to be read from start to finish. Rather, it is for dipping in as the mood takes you, choosing a certain year or occasion. I can almost hear his voice again.
