OCTOBER RASPBERRIES

I wasn’t able to work on my plot for the last number of days but I made up for it today. The weather wasn’t perfect but it is October so I don’t expect too much. It didn’t rain.

I had four big sacks of cut grass, after doing Mum’s lawn last Friday; just as well I was able to use it today. I kept the sacks in the boot of the car because I was just too busy to do anything with them. I knew they were destined to go on the new raspberry patch. The car started to smell like a farmyard!

First of all I had to pick the raspberries. I was amazed that I found so many – 2kg from all my plant. A fantastic result.

This is the result of my labour today. From a big bowl of mixed raspberries to a number of jars of delicious jam in a very short while.

Yum!
