One new bush in the fruit cage – a pink currant!

So far I have a white currant, a few red currants and black currants but when I saw the pink one, it was a case of ‘must have’!

I hope it will be just as easy to take cuttings so I can enlarge my fruit area. You can’t have too many fruit bushes!

The other fruit bushes are doing very well in the cage, it certainly was worth pampering them with manure and weeding and hoe-ing round them. Let’s hope for a huge harvest, at least it is all protected and the pigeons can’t get at them! The blueberries are in flower too, I have got some early and late ones so there should be a good supply of blueberries during the summer.
